Diversity is the name of the game this year with some of Brighton and Hove’s biggest and best businesses making the hot list, but also some of the youngest and newest. A total of 33 businesses have been shortlisted for 15 awards in this year’s Brighton and Hove Business Awards. You can see the full list below.

The list of finalists reflects the city’s broad range of businesses and includes restaurants, recruiters, search companies, book sellers, digital companies and architects, as well as iconic venues like the Palace Pier and Saltdean Lido.

Awards will also be made to the person who, in the judges’ opinion, has done the most for Brighton – the Outstanding Brightonian – and an overall Judges’ Choice award for The Best Business in Brighton.

Commenting on the shortlist, judges chair Fiona Shafer said: “Brighton & Hove has got a lot to shout about and there’s no better platform than the BAHBAs.

“The entries seem to cover every aspect of business life from creative digital services to hospitality and an impressive array of community projects. Few other places in the country can boast such a range of businesses let alone the quality that we have seen on this year’s shortlist.”

The awards night this year is going to be at the rather fabulous Proud Country House, Stanmer Park, on Thursday 14 September. Each winner will also receive a year’s free membership to MDHUB, a vibrant and energising membership organisation that supports business owners through the challenges of growing and developing their business.

Tickets are on general release and this is definitely one of the city’s big nights. They cost £80 (+vat) each or £800 (+vat) for a table of ten and include a drinks reception, three course meal, two bottles of wine on each table and dancing till late!
Tickets can be purchased online at www.bahba.co.uk
