Five ways to have a Jolly January

Forget the New Year diet plan and indulge with Terre a Terre

If detox is not your fix and you don’t care about dry January, we’ve got some good news for you. Terre a Terre in Brighton is going re-tox all the way! We caught up with TAT’s Olivia Reid to find out more…

1. Afternoon tea
If you haven’t discovered the Tiered Afternoon Tea, where have you been? This hugely popular savoury, sweet and traditional tea time treat is nothing like anything you have had before – featuring treats like Peeking Buns stuffed with Szechuan marinated halloumi, with kimchi Chinese cabbage and miso chilli sauce garnish, Mini chocolate brownie with damson plum puree, Tea soaked sultana scones served with Terre à Terre jam and clotted cream, and loads more. Stuff the diet.

terreaterre22. Terre à Verre
Terre à Terre is renowned for its Terre à Tapas – a delicious selection of miniature lovelies from the a la carte, perfect for the indecisive guest.  Try the even better Terre à Verre, which is Tapas, Chips and an Organic Wine Carafe (500ml) for two to share for £42. This is available all week apart from Saturday nights throughout January – March. Watch out for some extra special seasonal spins on the Tapas plates…

3. Boob Mondays & Tuesdays – Buy our own bottle
terreaterre3This is always hugely successful so we’re doing it again. We offer all our customers any wine from our wine list at RETAIL price Monday and Tuesday evenings from January 11 until March 29. We’ve got a full organic off-licence list and this is a great time to take full advantage and try a few! No need to bring a bottle – it’s hassle free and it’s corkage free. Buy a bottle of our wine at retail price… and perhaps bag another bottle on your way out!

4. Forget dry, it’s all about Try January
See what we did there?! Watch out for the selection of new and local spirits on our menu alongside obviously fantastic cocktails and organic wines, but look out also for surprise feature truffles, seasonal retail products a few other secrets up our sleeves for 2016. Don’t think you’d like a vegetarian restaurant? How do you know until you try?

terreaterre5. Just indulge, we say!
Final January recommendation is to just jump in, order and enjoy. Terre à Terre is the local go-to for the most creative vegetarian food in Sussex and always delivered with a cheeky little pun. And we are funny, honestly. Why don’t you try Bangkok Broken Ball, Avocado Kokado, Peeking Buns, Better Batter and Lemony Yemeni Relish, or Bee a Mellow Mallow Pear? Delicious as well as pun-tastic.
