I want to like airports but I just don’t so if you’re like me the Flight Track 5 app is a boon for any traveller. Real-time status for gates, delays and cancellations, it can also find alternate flights at a tap and share trip info easily amongst a group.

 

 

 

Days Out
If a spot of culture is your thing the English Heritage app will find you a castle, historic house, English garden or magical ruin near you. Great for when you’re stuck for ideas, it includes description, pictures, direction, opening times and more.

 

 

 

AccuWeather
You need to be light on your feet to outsmart the British weather. AccuWeather provides a minute-by-minute weather and precipitation forecast so you can plan ahead to grab the sunshine before it goes for that well-deserved beach stroll.

 

 

 

Star Chart
Yes, we all know The Plough but do you know your Perseus from your Cassiopeia? Star Chart is a neat astronomy app that beautifully overlays the name of stars and constellations as you point your phone skywards. Great for balmy nights camping and when enjoying the night sky abroad.
