An artistic collaboration

Over forty-five large and small-scale paintings, drawings and sculptures on show at the De La Warr Pavilion from Saturday 26 September

If like us you love the De La Warr you probably don’t need much of an excuse to visit, but we’ll give you one anyway.

In the Realm of Others is a new artistic collaboration between Project Art Works and De La Warr Pavilion intended to ‘question perceptions about the process of making art’ on show from Saturday 26 September – Sunday 29 November.

Over forty-five large and small-scale paintings, drawings and sculptures – produced by fourteen makers with profound intellectual impairment – are presented in a living, evolving installation that offers a rare glimpse into unknowable, creative states of being.

House-No-1_6,-Albert-Geere,-2015Project Art Works is a visual arts organisation that conducts a wide range of projects with people who have complex needs and those that support them, initiating responsive, collaborative projects between artists, galleries and other cultural organisations, and children and adults who have severe neurological impairment with their families and the services, professionals and processes that surround them.

There’s a whole load of workshops, talk and events as part of this collaboration as well as films and the exhibition.
