It’s Judgement Day – for the SBAs

Sussex Business Awards judging day 2 Title Sussex Magazine www.titlesussex.co.uk

So the entries are all in, and today was judging day for the Sussex Business Awards. Just look at this lot, slaving over a working lunch to make sure they do justice to the amazing standard of entries this year.

Title Sussex Magazine has been a proud sponsor of the awards for three years now, and it’s always an exciting process. One of our favourite parts is the judging day, and this year Title’s Gemma Windham is at the helm. Our category – as always – is the Best Place to Entertain your Clients. Always a tough one with so much competition in Sussex. But there can be only one winner, as they say.

The judging takes place under cover of secrecy, of course, but the decision-making process and the way the various judges scrutinise their entries is always fascinating. Anyone who has entered these awards knows how much information is required for the entry. And we can tell you that all those details are very carefully considered – and sometimes it’s really hard to make a decision. There is often dispute amongst the judges, or situations where it’s almost impossible to choose between two really close candidates. But we get there in the end.

Just know that if you’re a winner, or picked for a ‘highly commended’ salute, you’ve definitely earned it, and beat off some stiff competition.

So – the results are in, and the shortlist will be announced soon, but in the meantime, it’s worth highlighting that the awards night itself is an absolute cracker. And it’s not just open to entrants and judges – it’s an exciting, ticketed business event open to everyone, with entertainment, amazing food and some real excitement. So if you want to come along and rub shoulders with the cream of Sussex business, you know what to do.

We’ll be back soon with the shortlist announcement!
