New West Sussex festival with headliners Jessie J & The Vamps

A brand new two day music festival called Boomerang is set to take place at Hickstead International Arena in West Sussex on Saturday 12th and 13th September 2015.

Set in the heart of Sussex, not only will this exciting new venture provide a unique venue to witness music from some of the world’s most prolific artists but there will also be the opportunity to soak up the atmosphere at one of their gourmet pop up restaurants, indulge in delicious street food and sample alternative entertainment away from the main stage.

Making her grand entrance on the Boomerang stage on Sunday 13^th September is British singer songwriter Jessie J, who is recognised for a style that mixes soul vocals with contemporary R&B, pop, electropop and hip-hop beats.

Jessie J will perform songs from her three albums with favourites like, Price Tag, Do it like a Dude, and, most recently, her collaboration with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj on her top ten hit ‘Bang Bang’.

Her fresh style and mesmerising stage presence is bound to give the audience a fantastic show and is the perfect artist to present Boomerang in its first year.

“I’m really looking forward to playing with The Vamps at the Hickstead International Arena,” explains Jessie J. “It will be amazing to end the summer headlining at this great new event.”

Also headlining the Sunday this year will be super group The Vamps. This talented pop band is, without a doubt, the new band on everyone’s lips. They have been causing a stir everywhere they go, with legions of fans following and pandemonium at every turn.

Four teenage musicians from disparate parts of the country hook up via their homemade demos on YouTube, their plan: to upload a series of punkish, acoustic-driven covers of chart-conquering pop hits by the likes of One Direction, Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars and release an album of their own arena-shaking anthems.

Fifteen million online hits and a major label recording deal later and the UK four piece have become one of the heaviest bleeps on the pop radar.

They said: “We’re super-excited to be co-headlining the first ever Boomerang event at Hickstead with Jessie J and can’t wait for our fans to see us in this wicked setting.”
