PING! is back this summer with four new tables across Sussex

The Level, Wish Park, Preston Park and Hove Lawns Café get table tennis

Ping pong is bouncing back this summer as PING! brings four new tennis tables to Brighton & Hove.

The new tables will be located at The Level, Wish Park, Preston Park and Hove Lawns Café, making a total of 45 tables throughout the city.

Brighton & Hove has the largest number of ping pong tables in cities across the South East and Brighton & Hove City Council’s Sports Development Team are encouraging people across the city to get involved and give it a whack.

The Sports Development Team at Brighton & Hove City Council work in partnership with PING! and Brighton City Table Tennis Club to deliver the best table tennis across the city

Brighton & Hove City Council’s Sports and Physical Activity Manager Jan Sutherland said:

“PING! is back on the streets, parks and on the seafront across Brighton & Hove. Table tennis has already proved popular in the city and now we’re adding even more tables at popular locations so that more people have more opportunities to get active.

“Walk through one of our parks and pick up a bat to play or head on to the seafront where you will also find ping pong tables. We’re very pleased to once again be working with the Ping! team and the local clubs to promote this fun and sociable activity which has so many health benefits for players.”

You can join in the fun by simply grab a bat from the side of the table and play- free of charge.
