Sussex welcomes Metro Bank

New bank opens in centre of Brighton

Metro Bank officially opened its doors to the people of Sussex on Friday 20th February. The Brighton store is the bank’s 33rd location across London and the South East, and its entrance brings a convenient customer focused banking experience to the local community.

Metro Bank celebrated its move into the community with two days of grand opening celebrations, which included stilt walkers, performing dogs, popcorn, face painting, balloons and music.

The store was officially opened by Jason Kitcat, Leader of Brighton & Hove City Council, together with Kevin Walker, Regional Director, Brian Quinton, Local Director and Nick Simon, Store Manager who cut the ribbon at the grand opening.

Councillor Jason Kitcat, Leader of Brighton & Hove City Council said: “”I am delighted to welcome Metro Bank, a brand new bank, to this high profile location in Brighton. This opening has been highly anticipated by the local community. I very much welcome the new services and jobs Metro Bank will be bringing to Brighton.”
