Lancing College Prep at Hove has achieved a clean sweep of the highest possible grades awarded by the Independent Schools Inspectorate.
Four inspectors tested the school’s claim to be one of the outstanding schools in the area during an intensive four-day process, with the results highlighting the brilliance of the teaching on offer.
“Teaching is excellent and employs high quality resources to engage all pupils including the use of ICT”, the report states.
In addition, “Throughout the school, the lively, challenging and often inspirational teaching supports the school’s aims” and all pupils, “acquire excellent subject knowledge across a wide range of study and interests”.
The outstanding result came as no surprise to Head Master Alan Laurent, who said, “The report proves that we achieve outstanding levels of achievement and academic success without diminishing our central mission; to provide a happy, tolerant and fulfilling education for every individual in our school family”.
