From Thursday May 24 to Sunday May 26, foodies and racing enthusiasts alike are in for a real treat, as Goodwood Racecourse kicks off its Festival of Food (and Racing!) at the iconic venue in Chichester.

It’s a fabulous three day meet with an abundance of eating and drinking alongside. What’s not to like?

Celebrating Goodwood Estate’s food heritage and ethos, the four-day event will showcase artisan producers and suppliers, complete with live cookery demonstrations from Michelin-starred chefs, as well as a whole host of gastronomic attractions and experiences to look forward to.

A range of cured meats and cheeses will be available for tasting, while a dedicated bar is set to purvey Goodwood’s selection of home-brewed lagers and real ales. Elsewhere, an artisan farmers’ market will provide visitors with the chance to shop a wealth of locally-sourced food and drink, including award-winning regional wines, beers, cheeses, chutneys, breads, baked goods, chocolates and more.

Over in the Lennox Enclosure, guests can immerse themselves in all things al fresco, from growing fruits and vegetables, to cooking and dining outdoors. The Richmond Enclosure, meanwhile, is due to feature a range of gins from local micro-distilleries to taste, sample and savour.

As for the Sussex Bistro, diners can enjoy a ‘kitchen table’ experience of one-pot wonders, alongside cookery and wellbeing talks, plus children’s workshops. And with three afternoons of exciting high-class horseracing to take in alongside the food festivities, this is an event that gourmets and racing lovers will want to flock to in equal measure!

24-26 May 2018
Tickets for the Festival of Food & Racing are available from £12 in advance, and children under 18 go free in all enclosures.
