HSBC launches £150m Sussex loan fund

Fund to support Sussex entrepreneurs

A support package for Sussex businesses has been launched by HSBC that includes a £150 million fund for small and medium-sized companies in the county.

As part of a new national fund worth £8 billion, the loan fund aims to support entrepreneurs across Sussex looking to start an SME, as well as established enterprises, and with a number of fees being waived businesses could save hundreds of pounds on borrowing costs.

Andrew Steer, Area Director of Business Banking in Sussex, said, “Today we are announcing our largest ever package of support for SMEs in Sussex including a £150 million fund for lending and a promotion designed to make it cheaper and simpler to access funding.

“SMEs in Sussex are very ambitious and at HSBC we are open for business and ready to help them invest to grow.”
