New B&M Worthing store lands next month
In just over a month, everyone’s favourite bargain store B&M will be landing at Worthing’s indoor shopping centre
The Guildborne Centre has announced that B&M will be setting up shop at the Worthing indoor shopping centre. The store will be opening next month, on Wednesday 21 February.
The new store will be opening in a unit previously occupied by Wilko, which closed down in early October 2023. After several months standing vacant, the unit will be brought to life again by shoppers and retail staff.
The Guildborne Centre revealed in the announcement, that “the [Wilko] administration process delayed the deal for longer than we would have liked but strong interest from other retailers helped to push it through.”

The statement, shared on Facebook, also read “Worthing has long been a target location for B&M and their decision to come to The Guildbourne Centre vindicates their faith in both Worthing and the Guildbourne Centre as excellent retail locations.”
Facebook users responded to the announcement post with positivity and excitement for the new store, suggesting that it’s a welcome addition to the Worthing retail line up. With comments ranging from, “Omg this is absolutely amazing 
can’t wait for it to open,” from Kirsty Brettel. Or as Peter William Saggs says; “That’s great news. Fingers crossed the Guildbourne centre could bring it back to life with B&M opening.”
The Guildborne Centre has also shared that they’re confident the store will create a rise in footfall at the centre. The addition of B&M will provide more jobs to local residents.
