Amazing Alliums

Over 10,000 beautiful flowers on display at Arundel Castle

Alliums at Arundel Castle

We do love a nice flower here at Title Towers so we’re a little bit captivated by the ‘Allium Extravaganza’ in bloom at Arundel Castle.

The beautiful purple display stretches across the gardens, around the rill pond in the Collector Earl’s Garden and into the Cut Flower Garden.

The number of allium varieties has been increased this year, to include ‘Hair’ which has a wispy cobweb type head, ‘Christophii’ with huge flower heads, ‘Gladiator’ with stunning violet-blue flowers and the tallest of them all, ‘Summer Drummer’.

One of the largest displays in the country, over 10,000 of the beautiful flowers are on show in the Walled Gardens, and if you’ve never had a look round the crazy grounds of the castle, you really should.

It’s not all about alliums. Arundel Castle in West Sussex is one of England’s largest complete and inhabited castles, with 40 acres of truly striking grounds and gardens. Well worth a visit.
