BAHBAs winners, movers and shakers!
It’s one of our fave dates in the calendar each year and this year’s Brighton & Hove Business Awards did not disappoint. Held at Stanmer House with dinner in the fabulous marquee, the event was the kind of event you always imagine awards nights should be but somehow never are. The BAHBAs rocks it every year, and we were honoured to be a media partner again this year, and cheer in the winners.
The BAHBAs is a high octane celebration of the best businesses in Brighton & Hove and is always a cracking night out. Not only that, but it attracts some of the best and most diverse entries from across the city every year. Judging is always exciting and often hotly contested. But there can only be one winner per category!
After the (rather fabulous) dinner was served – smoked salmon, lamb cutlets and dauphinoise and lemon posset, if you’re interested – we all watched the awards unfold.
The ceremony itself was hosted by comedian Paul Zenon who frankly terrified everyone by swinging a pint of beer around in a snooker triangle, after having scared the bejesus out of Phil from MD HUB by apparently carving up his jacket with a knife. It was a bracing start to the proceedings!
Once the awards were finished, and so was all the wine on the table, we headed into the beautiful house and danced like fools to old classics like ‘Jump Around’ and ‘Thriller’. More fun with your clothes on than you can shake a stick at. Shuttle services were provided back and forth from Brighton courtesy of The Big Lemon buses so no reason not to get properly stuck in!
