Big Green Cardigan Festival
Cripps Corner, East Sussex from 4th to 6th Sept 2015
The Big Green Cardigan is a local festival that’s small, friendly and relaxed, deep in the Sussex countryside, in a beautiful setting on The Weald.
People of Sussex, for a wonderful and ‘real’ festival experience there’s no need to travel far – here is a thoroughly chilled weekend in an incredible place.
This is an intimate event for 100’s rather than 1000’s of festival goers, with a truly eclectic mix of musical styles gracing the festival fields; from blues, flamenco, swing-jazz, american folk, to banjo playing, tap dancing and so much more.
Artists are being announced weekly via the festival’s facebook and twitter feeds and all announced artists can be enjoyed via the festival YouTube playlist.
The festival is working alongside Langham Brewery to supply a range of delicious and award-winning artisan ales, and a special ‘Big Green Cardigan Festival Ale’, at the event.
Langham is an independent steam powered microbrewery situated between the Sussex towns of Midhurst and Petworth in the beautiful South Downs National Park.
Their passion is to produce innovative, distinctive and flavoursome real ales using the finest quality ingredients and traditional craft skills.
So, alongside the incredible beer and a myriad of musical styles, festival goers can embrace home-cooked food (including locally sourced sausages, delicious tea and cakes, Mediterranean street food and more), massage, musical therapy, enjoy the work of a local artist and jewellery makers (workshops available), browse record stalls and more.
Weekend tickets, day tickets, evening tickets, group-discount tickets are all now available on line. Weekend tickets come with free camping. Free parking is available for all.
The event also offers an overnight ticket price of £10 per tent, which in many cases is cheaper than a cab home!
