Cocktail of the Month

This month's COTM is The Pina Colada

Arguably the cocktail of the year and on a rapid ascension to knocking the Mojito off that top spot, the Pina Colada is this month’s Mixology Group and Title Magazine favourite.

Translating literally as “Strained Pineapple” the Pina Colada is the national drink of Puerto Rico. Dating back to the 1952, it is said to have been created by Ramon ‘Monchito’ Marrero Perez, a bartender in the Caribe Hilton Hotel, who combined Bacardi White rum, Coco Lopez Coconut Cream, freshly pressed pineapple juice and squeezed lime juice.

Cocktail-of-hte-MonthBlended together with ice, the resulting mixture is the summer destination favourite we all know and love today, creamy, fruity tropical and strong.
