The Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Awards launched on Wednesday to a great reception of press, partners, supporters and dignitaries at Brighton’s Pub Du Vin.
The best of the city’s food and drink producers and hospitality sectors gathered on the first day of the festival to enjoy the spectacular cuisine on offer.
Set in the wonderful surroundings of the venue’s Dome room, the guests were treated to a vast array of nibbles and wines while event director, Andrew Kay, spoke on behalf of the festival.
This year sees a number of new categories added, each recognising the importance of the leisure and business tourism to the city, including best breakfast, best venue to do business and best place to sleep, plus a new category celebrating artisan producers within the city boundary.
Voting on the food awards is open until August 31 before the top three in each category go to the panel of judges, so, to get involved make sure you vote for your favourite in Brighton and Hove food and drink by clicking here.
