Let’s get down to business

The Brighton & Hove Business Awards are back in 2016 and we’re delighted to be sponsors once again of the prestigious awards.

The BAHBAs are well renowned for honouring local business talent and success across the city, with 2016’s awards marking their eleventh year of this annual scheme.

MD-of-the-Year---Andrew-Mosley,-The-Grand-BrightonOver the years some of the city’s biggest and best known brands have taken home a coveted trophy including The Treatment Rooms, The Grand, B&H Albion, Brighton Pride, Duke of Yorks, Hotel du Vin, Gresham Blake and many more.

The competition is highly regarded in the city and, as well as recognising the best big, medium and upcoming businesses across Brighton and Hove, the values of winning a BAHBA go beyond the honour and acknowledgement of the night.

Mike Gilson, editor of The Argus and Chair of the Awards explains, “The Brighton and Hove Business Awards have been celebrating the brightest, most successful and most unique businesses from across the city for the last decade.

“The leaders that drive these businesses demonstrate that combining passion and business nous with fun and individuality can be a real recipe for success. It is Brighton and Hove’s personality that puts it among the UK’s favourite cities, and that personality is reflected in our business community.”

However, they are now on the hunt for sponsors for the 2016 awards. So far there are two new sponsors – RBS and Dental Health Spa – but the organisers are looking for more and, as media sponsors of last year’s BAHBAs, we know just how important our association with the awards has been to the Title brand.

Chris Langley at RBS echoes this sentiment saying, “We understand that strong businesses are created and developed through leadership, innovation and collaboration.

That’s why we are particularly pleased to be sponsoring the Brighton & Hove Business Awards as they both recognise and celebrate the diversity of business in the city.”

Having sponsored the awards for the last three years, Phil Graves of Graves Jenkins says, “We are extremely proud to once again support and sponsor the BAHBAs.

“They are very Brighton – endorsing the success of the city, its diversity and entrepreneurial spirit – and at the same time recognising what makes the city stand out over many others.

“I’m a lifetime Brightonian and as a business we try to invest in the city through our business connections and the BAHBAs undertake the same. It’s an obvious partnership and an event which betters itself year on year. “

The awards are set to launch at the end of April, with the ceremony scheduled for early autumn and, as well as bringing value to all those in the running for an award, the night is always a great occasion, as the managing director of second time sponsors, Yelo Architects explains, “The BAHBAs were a real highlight for Yelo last year.

“Not only did we feel the benefit of being a sponsor but the awards night itself was brilliantly organised and huge fun. We enjoyed being involved in the judging and it provided a real insight into the amazing businesses that we have in this city. It was a delight to see so many prospering.”

The awards are supported by the Chamber of Commerce, Brighton & Hove City Council, Brilliant Brighton, the Brighton Business Curry Club and Brighton & Hove Tourism Alliance and, if you are interested in sponsoring the 2016 awards, contact the organisers on 01273 666200 or email bahba@midnight.co.uk.
