Normandy food festival invades Hastings!

The bank holiday weekend will see an invasion of the foodie kind as the Normandy Food Tour makes its way across the South East of England. This is your chance to get a taste of the best food, drink, and music from our neighbours across the channel.

Landing on the seafront on April 29th, the food festival in Hastings will celebrate the town’s shared historic significance with Normandy.

What is there to do?

Food festival favourite Nigel Barden will be hosting a demo stage that will feature both French and local chefs cooking up traditional and innovative cuisine.

There will also be a number of free masterclasses throughout the day sampling some of Normandy’s best exports. You can sign yourself up to taste a number of products, from cider to cheese, sweets to treats.

The Carpanorama music bus will be providing live music too. What better way to enjoy some camembert and wine than with the chance to dance?

Normandy food trucks will be serving up both sweet and savoury dishes, and there’s sure to be something to tickle your fancy.

Normandy Truck 76 marries the finest Normandy beef with creamy camembert served up in a soft bun. Le Fish Truck will be serving up shucking fresh seafood in Hastings and Windsor and then the finest French poultry in Norwich and Canterbury. And who can resist dessert, especially when it’s Caravanille preparing delicious fresh brioche and cheesecakes?
