Taking care of business

The Brighton and Hove Business Awards celebrate their tenth anniversary with a new format

The BAHBAs are back for 2015 and are bringing a twist to the awards scene.

This year’s Brighton and Hove Business Awards will be held on Friday 4th September at All Saints Church in Hove but will not begin in the evening.

The awards, which will celebrate a decade since its inception, have changed their format this year and will now begin at 4.30pm for afternoon tea.

Starting with a drinks reception, the guests will then head to their designated tables where they will be served a sumptuous afternoon tea, including a selection of freshly prepared finger sandwiches, savoury pastries and a selection of cocktail afternoon cakes and homemade scones.

The awards will be presented after the cuisine, with local comedian Stephen Grant compering the event and, with two bottles of wine per-table, fun is sure to be had.

After the awards the dancing will commence from around 8pm before an evening buffet is presented at 9pm which will include more sandwiches and brioche buns, all made to order in front of guests.

There are 14 awards up for grabs and if you would like to nominate a business or person then make sure you act before the June 26th deadline. Judges will meet shortly after the deadline to discuss the entries before the shortlist is announced in July.

The awards celebrate the best in business from across our great city, with innovation and leadership being prized as more important to the success and growth of the company than just size and revenue; with businesses also being acknowledged for promoting the diversity and talent that distinguishes the Brighton and Hove brand.

Past winners of the awards include many of Brighton and Hove’s biggest business which have gone from strength to strength since winning a BAHBA, including Gresham Blake, the Amex stadium and Hotel Du Vin among many others.

BAHBA_logo-with-whiteThis year will also see another first, as Title Sussex takes on the role as media sponsors of the awards, and we’re proud to be supporting an event that recognises those pioneering businesses that make Brighton and Hove great.

The event will include 35 tables of ten, with tickets costing £65pp, and will conclude at 10.30pm.
