Teresa Kis is well renowned across Sussex for her incredible ability to create the best lips in town. After trying them for ourselves we can testify that they really is as good as they say. So we decided to catch up with Teresa to find out about the woman behind the lips…
Who is Teresa?
I am an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Independent Prescriber. I treat patients mainly with injectable treatments like botulinum toxin and dermal fillers for improving the signs of ageing and improving someone’s looks.
What’s your background?
I’ve been a nurse for over 30 years with a background in general medicine and surgery. I was a ward sister and night sister at the Sussex Nuffield and I also worked at the Sussex County among many of my nursing jobs. I am also a non-practising qualified midwife. I have also worked for a dermatology company, which is where I was introduced to aesthetics, which I have now been involved in for 12 years.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
Seeing the client’s face when they realise the little bit of magic worked to turn back the clock or give them gorgeous lips.
What are your passions aside from work?
My family; I have a lovely husband, three wonderful children and two grand children. Also exercise, I am a member of British Military Fitness where I do outdoor bootcamp style workouts outside about four times a week. There also theatre; I love musicals and a trip to the West End. Travel too, I want to visit as much of the world as possible.
Describe yourself in three words…
Easy going, positive and friendly.
If you hadn’t become a nurse you would like to have worked in…
The theatre, as a performer actress or dancer.
What are you most proud of?
My family and my successful business as well as my ability to please people.
What’s your idea of happiness?
To be successful, financially secure and enjoy my free time with my husband and family.
Of all the advice you’ve received, what one piece would you like to pass on?
If you are prepared to work hard you will reap the rewards and life is too short to be miserable.
