VegfestUK set for Sussex return
Vegan and vegetarian extravaganza to return to the Brighton Centre in February 2016
Europe’s prime vegan festival, VegfestUK Brighton, will return to the Brighton Centre on 27 and 28 February 2016, after a very successful event in March this year, which attracted 12,000 visitors altogether.
VegfestUK Brighton is a celebration of all things vegan with loads of stalls serving awesome food as well as bodycare, clothes, accessories, gifts and also lots of campaigning groups and merchandise, plus stacks of info, talks, demos, performances, passion and positive energy. Loads of freebies and tasters will be adding to the attraction.
Brand-new activities for 2016 include An Animal Rights Forum on both days with enthusiastic vegan activists discussing and debating effective ways of vegan outreach; A Teachers Vegan Summit on the Sunday, showing teachers and individuals in the teaching profession how to promote veganism in schools and A Mature Zone with extra seating for older visitors looking for tips on vegan nutrition and health.
Coming on top of these new features are 200 stalls, with stacks of special offers, free tasters and huge savings on leading brands, There’s the Food Village with 18 caterers, including juice and smoothie bars, plus licensed bars serving vegan alcoholic drinks.
There’s fun for all the family with major attractions including the Kids Area; kids cookery demos; Teen VGN Zone for teenage veggies/vegans; Hemp Expo with hemp stalls, talks and films on hemp; the UK Vegan Comedy Festival on Saturday; talks on nutrition and health, lifestyle and campaigns; Performance Area for Live Music and Cinema.
There’s estimated to be around 12,000 visitors throughout the weekend, with free nutritional advice for visitors, and everything at the event is 100% vegan; no animal products.
Advance tickets to the VegfestUK Brighton event will go on sale from January 2016 at www.brighton.vegfest.co.uk/admission. Tickets are £7 a day and £10 for the whole weekend. ‘Buy one get one free’ and ‘buy one get one half price’ offers will be available for limited periods. Tickets are also available on the gate, at £10 (adults) and £5 (concessions). Children and young people under 16 can enter the event for free.
Trade bookings for VegfestUK Brighton 2016 on February 27 and 28 at the Brighton Centre (BN1 2GR) opened on Thursday 23 July. Stalls can be booked on-line on www.brighton.vegfest.co.uk
