Waitrose stock Sussex’s Lick

Frozen yogurt suppliers strike deal with Waitrose

Brighton-based frozen yogurt producer Lick have announced that their product will be stocked in Waitrose supermarket from March 2015.

The UK’s favourite frozen yogurt, according to an independent consumer report, is already stocked in major outlets across Britain including Sainsbury’s, Ocado, Yo! Sushi and many more, however, the addition of Waitrose is a major achievement for Ky Wright and Owain Williams, the company’s founders.

Lick is the only frozen yogurt in the world which is made from 100% yogurt and officially began life back in 1998.

Since then the duo have gone from strength to strength, opening a shop in Brighton’s North Laines in 2006 – the first frozen yogurt store in the UK – which became the flagship to promote the brand.

After the launch of their retail product in 2013, the boys had to shut down the shop as there was no way for them to split their time between all their duties.

However, in typical Lick fashion, they went out with a huge closing party, with over 5,000 people turning up to say goodbye to Ky, Owain and the shop.
