Fireworks Night is back with a bang at Hove

Fireworks return to BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground after year off last November

Sussex County Cricket Club have announced that their Fireworks Night will be returning to The BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground this year.

The Sussex Cricket in the Community Fireworks Night will take place on Thursday 5th November and will be back with a bang, quite literally, after last year’s display was unable to take place due to essential work on the outfield.

The club have also announced that the event will be raising money for the Shoreham Air Show Fund, following the tragic local events of last month, as well as the Sussex Cricket Supporters Club.

Attendees can look forward to a massively enhanced pyrotechnic display, from Aurora Fireworks, which is guaranteed to wow the crowds. There will be plenty of pre-display entertainment too with a number of acts lined up to perform, including former X-Factor finalists Rough Copy, and solo artist Laura Comfort.

Sussex’s Chief Executive Zac Toumazi said, “We’re thrilled to be able to bring Fireworks Night back to Hove. This has been an extremely popular event in the years gone by, and we hope that we will again be able to attract a bumper crowd to see what is set to be a spectacular display.

“It is entirely appropriate that we raise funds for the Shoreham Air Show Fund and we are convinced that the local community will wish to support this through our display.”

The gates will open at Hove at 6.00pm to allow spectators to take advantage of the excellent catering facilities that will be available around the ground, with pre-display entertainment beginning at 6.30pm, and the fireworks show commencing at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £10 for Adults, £5 for Under 16’s, whilst a family ticket for the event is £25 (two adults and two children). Family tickets are only available in advance.

They go on sale on Monday 14th September and the easiest way to purchase your tickets is online via www.sussexcricket.co.uk. They can also be purchased in person from the Club Shop at Hove between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday, or by calling 0844 264 0206 in the same office hours.

The reserve day for the display, should bad weather deem it not possible for the display to take place, is Sunday 8th November.
